FULL AND PARTIAL VACCINATION

How many people have been vaccinated fully or with at least 1 dose? How many are still unvaccinated? These global estimates document the progress made so far.

VACCINE COVERAGE OF POPULATION

Global vaccination progress in one single number? Take total doses administered per 100 people, exclude boosters and convert shots of single-dose vaccines into double-dose equivalents (i.e. count them twice). That way full vaccination is at 200 regardless of the mix of vaccines used. No comparisons between apples and oranges.

VACCINE SUFFICIENCY FOR PRIORITY GROUP

Is the vaccine supply of countries sufficient to cover priority groups? Vaccine supply is approximated by doses administered to total population and compared with the size of the priority group of 60+ seniors and 60- physicians, nurses and midwives. Double-dose equivalents (so full vaccination is at 200) and no boosters here.

VACCINE DISTRIBUTION

How equally are vaccines distributed across countries? This tracks the distribution of vaccine supply (approximated by doses administered to total population) relative to the distribution of the priority group and the total population. Double-dose equivalents and no boosters.

PARTICIPATION IN VACCINATION

How many countries have started vaccinating? How many have started to administer boosters? Monitors the share of countries reporting standard vaccinations as well as boosters.
